We are delighted to announce our upcoming fundraiser gala dinner to benefit “Arts Can Do” on November 23, 2013 in Beijing’s Four Seasons Hotel.
One of the highlights will be a showcase of work produced by children who participated in the summer Arts Can Do program in Shanxi earlier this year. Some astounding pieces of abstract ink work, photography and self portraiture will be presented, demonstrating the skill and creative exploration which flourished during the program. We will also be live auctioning a number of artworks from both China and abroad, in addition to China’s premium caviar Kaluga Queen with Moet & Chandon and a Hasselblad limited edition luxury Lunar camera, personally signed by Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
Arts Can Do is our art based education project which aims to help disadvantaged children reach their full potential by developing life skills and confidence through involvement in art. With your care and support the first summer centre was opened in rural Xucun Village, Shanxi Province in July 2013. Close to 100 children benefited from the centre and its program over a period of two months. This project is just the beginning.
Arts Can Do is dedicated to providing opportunity and encouragement to as many disadvantaged children as we can. We appreciate your help in achieving our goal. We urge you to join us for an evening of fine food, art and live performance at the Four Seasons Beijing. Your kind support will allow us to go towards the continued work of Arts Can Do, from teacher training and residency costs, to art therapists working with children, materials and infrastructure.
